best stalefisher, best boneless oner, best frontside railslider, best ollier, best ever.
I think that Safeway curb is the convex one (in Psycho Skate). The photo doesn't do it justice as Gonz is still on his way up.
The second and third photos are two of my favorite photos ever! I remember seeing them in the mags when they first came out and they have not lost a hint of pure awesome in the 20 odd years since they were originally published.Thank you!
I've been looking for that boneless shot for a long time. I think that spot was called Gemco, and I think he had a frontside ollie photo there too.
is the guy doind the ivert Gonz?he has blue eyes and blonde hair...
mark's got blue eyes. pops was german. as for the hair, it was the 80s, we all dyed out hair blond
What the hell is happening in that 3rd from last phota???
I completely envisioned the bum while reading the gonz story. made me lol.
Dude if you really want to trip out go to the Thrasher website and go through all of the scanned issues from 1985.Gonz shit galore, crazy stuff.
One of my favorite Gonz photos is from a Pacific NW tour in SLAP. It's thew center spread of a shifty at the Eugene, OR park a big Z board
Great posts this week. Gonz, Ron Allen, Hensley, Lance cameo...Stoked!
Third from last photo:I always thought it was a premature snap of a rocket, but upon closer inspection, he's goofy grabbing with his right hand. Could be a tweaked out slob. Maybe a bad picture of a slob fastplant. It could also be a switch frontside nosebone (hence the inverted name and Vision logo). This was before every photo of a trick was meticulously labeled.
yeah, bobjohn, that's the same safeway curb from psychoskate and you're right, it doesn't give it justice. but i do like gonz's shoes in that photo though.correct in both comments, giles.david, no idea. yeah skatenazi, i saw they were doing that. super good. thanks fellas.econobeer
