Does anyone remember when he decided to go "goth." I remember him in Big Brother talking about how much he loved Morrissey's "Viva Hate." Funny that a few years later, I too would become with Moz's debut album.

K,

When he was talking about listening to - Viva Hate - it was when he was 14, his TV days, before he got on Stereo. He got the tape from Mike V.

I know nothing about Ethan Fowler but I do know that "red rubber ball" is a perfect name for this post. Exciting!

P.S. I had dreams of Barry McGee last night. That dude's so fucking cool!

ed, a lot of people hate on ethan... which i always found kinda confusing. always found dudes style is the equivalent of like a smooth whiskey. and i miss forties too. their whole aesthetic was amazing. i desperately need a copy of amigos.

k, viva hate was always nice but my favorite moz album when i was 14was easily Bona Drag. So funny how the most random pros would wear smiths shirts back in the day... Lotti, Jeremy Klein, Ethan... i think i even saw Dan Rogers rock one haha

Peel (for those who haven't figured it out) is my girlfriend and we went to an amazing Barry McGee art opening last night. Even got the chance to talk to Barry about the early Mad Circle Days and Beautiful Losers... incredible. On a personal note, I also got to see her almost kill a man utlizing a 500 lb. steel animotronic dinosaur (the "Dinosaur Death Dance" it is called) during Japanther's set, much to the delight of Mr. McGee(long story)... afterwards he took out a sharpie and custom designed this little red rubber ball we found rolling around. Super good night.

Glad you guys liked the post.

that frontside boardslide is legit. I was lucky enough to catch fowler skating downtown seattle in 98'. blown away. I hope he comes correct with BH. great blog man... hook me up with some Keenan pictures. i'm looking for something sick and simple, nothing with a big DVS logo or sequence.

Ethan's tincan folklore part is untouchable. Just thinking about it makes me wanna go skate union and try to heel flip over the bench off the bump. Stereo was such an amazing entity in the mid 90's, not that I don't enjoy the current version but there was something so special and unique about the vibe dune and j lee were putting out and ehtan fit the part like a glove. Him and greg hunt, thats what skateboarding has always been about for me.Every photo you posted brings me back to a time in skating where I thought anything was possible and noone gave a sh*t what we did.
This continues to be my bright point of the day chops, please don't stop anytime soon.
